In collaboration with architecture studio DEDRAFT the design for this garden includes striking foliage and evergreen planting to complement a contemporary layout and materials. Mind-your-own business is positioned around and between the plank paving, the coarse foliage of Fatsia japonica provides structure and two feature trees, Acer palmatum ‘Sango-Kaku’ and Amelanchier lamarckii year-round interest.

With a minimal colour-palette – the whites of the Astrantia major ‘Shaggy’ and flowering Choysias and the copper tones of the Heucherellas and Tellima grandiflora matching the corten-steel shed – the garden is a calm, relaxing and tranquil space to which the clients can escape.
