A redesign which involved marrying various existing elements of the garden to make the space feel more deliberate and considered. The garden studio to the rear and the decking by the kitchen were retained and enveloped by generous planting, providing a sense of seclusion and intrigue and interest throughout the space.
The existing Camellias and Acer dissectum ‘Ever Red’ are complemented by a new Camellia ‘Dr Tinsley’ and Acer – these are positioned away from one another, creating visual dynamism and cohesion. The decking area by the house has been extended to the side using gravel and clay-paver stepping stones interplanted with Mexican daisy and geraniums, making this space feel open and more welcoming.
Fragrant and nature-enticing plants such as lavender, sage, rosemary, Osmanthus, Clematis and jasmine have been repeated throughout the garden.
